Jurors sentenced for causing collapse of lengthy trial

Libertas Chambers were instructed by Andy MacDonald of Carringtons to represent a defendant in this significant case dealt with by Marie Spenwyn at all stages up to sentence and Sarah Day at the sentencing hearing itself before Mr Justice Edis.

The case concerned a lengthy investigation into jury conduct whilst they were in retirement following a 5-month trial.  This resulted in the discharge of that jury, a re-trial and subsequent prosecution of four of the jurors.
