The Pegasus Scholarship is a highly prestigious award

Chambers is delighted to announce that Fahrid Chishty has been awarded the Pegasus Scholarship for 2023. The Pegasus Scholarship is a highly prestigious award which has been awarded to gifted young barristers by the Inns of Court since 1987.

Developed under the auspices of Lord Goff, Senior Lord of Appeal in Ordinary, the award allows future leaders of the profession to travel to different jurisdictions to learn about the operation of the Common Law outside of England and Wales, and to forge enduring links with legal practitioners internationally.

Fahrid will spend eight weeks in Pakistan, where he will gain an insight into the criminal and civil justice regimes at the provincial and federal levels, including at the Supreme Court. Fahrid has extensive experience of domestic law and policy and looks forward to  learning from and working alongside senior members of the Bar and judiciary in Pakistan. Chambers is exceptionally proud of Fahrid’s acheivement and wishes him well in his travels.
